Applications for 2009 Community Arts Grants Now Available

Arts Council to hold Information Meetings throughout County

The Arts Council of Rockland will award grants for art projects taking place in Rockland County. Funds will be awarded to eligible non-profit organizations and artists for projects taking place in 2009. The funds are made possible through the Decentralization Program of the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), a generous grant secured by Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee and individual donors. In order to apply, applicants must attend an informational meeting (see below) or meet with ACOR staff to discuss the proposed project.

Arts Council of Rockland Offers Workshop for Artists and Arts Organizations

Learn how to create a basic web site and promote it using simple steps

The Arts Council of Rockland (ACOR) will present "The Art of Creating and Marketing Your Own Web Site" on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the ACOR Spring Valley office (7 Perlman Drive). Admission is $20, free for Arts Council Members.

Learn how to create a basic web site and promote it using simple steps. In this informative seminar, Thomas Ossa from Rockland Web Design will help you understand the basics of web design and Internet marketing so that you may show, display and demonstrate your goods and services to a wider audience and potential clients.
