The Arts Council of Rockland (ACOR) and the Rockland Community Foundation (RCF) have established an Artist's Support Fund to provide grants directly to practicing Rockland County artists in need of funds to support their ongoing work.  Grants are disbursed annually to artists selected through a review process.  The 2024 Artist Support Fund grant cycle is now completed. The 2024 Arts Alive grant cycle is now closed and awardees will be notified at the end of May 2024.

The 2024 Arts Alive grant cycle received 70 applications from Rockland County artists and arts organizations - the largest single application pool since ArtsWestchester began administering the program in 2017. ACOR is grateful to all our members and community partners who helped us spread awareness of this grant opportunity resulting in this significant increase in applications! Humanities New York (HNY) Recurring Grants offers QUICK, VISION, and ACTION GRANTS to New York organizations, municipalities, and tribal governments on a monthly or semi-annual basis. The mission of Humanities New York is to strengthen civil society and the bonds of community, using the humanities to foster engaged inquiry and dialogue around social and cultural concerns. The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) supports the nation’s arts sector with grant opportunities to help everyone live more artful lives. The NEA is the only arts funder in the United States—public or private—that provides access to the arts in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. jurisdictions. Grants for Arts Projects (GAP) provides expansive funding opportunities to strengthen the nation’s arts and culture ecosystem. Through project-based funding, the program supports opportunities for public engagement with the arts and arts education, for the integration of the arts with strategies promoting the health and well-being of people and communities, and for the improvement of overall capacity and capabilities within the arts sector. New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) empowers the creative community by providing critical support, resources, and opportunities. Each year, NYFA provides over $4 million in cash grants to individuals pursuing artistic excellence in all forms. Access NYFA grant opportunities HERE.


The Anonymous Was A Woman Environmental Art Grants (AWAW EAG), administered by NYFA, will distribute a total of $309,000 in funding—up to $20,000 per project—to support environmental art projects led by women-identifying artists in the United States and U.S. Territories. The AWAW EAG will support environmental art projects that inspire thought, action, and ethical engagement. Applications open on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM ET
and close on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 5:00 PM ET.


The JGS Fellowship for Photography is an $8,000 cash grant open to New York State photography artists living and working outside of New York City. The Fellowship is awarded to five artists working in traditional and experimental photography or any form in which photographic techniques are pivotal. The support for this funding is provided by The Joy of Giving Something (JGS).

The application will open on Tuesday, March 26 at 10:00AM and close on Tuesday, May 21 at 5:00PM.
