REFLECTIONS SERIES
REFLECTIONS is an ongoing series of photos taken of reflections on painted colored glass at cemetaries of the sky and trees.
Looking down, I look up. Looking out, I look within. Within color, I sense space. Within the square, infinity.
The series is about the soul, connecting souls and connecting to the soul by using place, color and surface. The art is meant to be hung in homes, where the panels can be arranged by the owners.
Color is about energy, energy we see. Glass is a boundary, like skin. Cemetaries are sacred places because of the people that no longer are connected to their body. The light from really really far away bounces off the glass surface, changed by the paint on the other side. It is then captured by the camera. And then printed on a machine. The final step is to be hung in a home, with people, and reflected upon.
