Join us for a captivating evening at the 2024 ACOR Arts Awards on Tuesday, June 11th, from 7-10PM @ The Hotel Nyack, as we honor these exceptional artists and unveil the recipients of the 2024 Arts Awards.
Thank you to all the ACOR members who submitted over 45 nominations to the 2024 ACOR Arts Awards, which celebrates the extraordinary artists who have made significant contributions to the arts in Rockland County.
The process to determine the 2024 Arts Awards winners was updated this year. Only ACOR members had the privilege of submitting nominations. All nominations and accompanying documentation were reviewed by the ACOR Board of Directors who used a rubric to determine the top three (3) finalists in each of the six (6) categories. The ACOR Board of Directors then deliberated and chose the winners from the top three (3) finalists in each of the six (6) categories.
2024 Charlotte Mouquin Rising Star Award Finalists
Named for Charlotte Mouquin, a beloved artist, arts administrator, and mentor who made significant impact on the Rockland County arts community prior to her passing in August 2023. Presented to a young, up and coming fine artist, performing artist or literary artist who has demonstrated exceptional creativity, skill, and passion within their artistic discipline, while also exhibiting evidence of a promising future in their field.
2024 ACOR Arts Leadership Award Finalists
Presented to an individual, including arts educators, volunteers, administrators, nonprofit board members, and others who has shown visionary leadership independently or within an arts organization and whose dedication and creativity have contributed to the advancement of the arts in Rockland County.
2024 ACOR Literary Artist Award Finalists
Presented to a writer, literary agent, bookseller, writer's group, or publisher in recognition of their exceptional skill in the literary arts and/or their unwavering commitment to advancing literature in Rockland County.
2024 ACOR Music Artist Award Finalists
Presented to a musical performer, songwriter, or composer who exhibits a unique talent in the field and whose contributions have elevated the appreciation of music in Rockland County.
2024 ACOR Performing Artist Award Finalists
Presented to a public performer whose outstanding talent and commanding presence have significantly enriched the arts in our community through compelling theater, dance, and other performances, inspiring a deeper appreciation for the performing arts in Rockland County.
2024 ACOR Visual Artist Award Finalists
Presented to an individual who exemplifies excellence in the area of visual arts, graphic arts, digital arts, photography, video, film, or other visual media who showcases a unique vision and a high level of skill with a distinct, cohesive style that characterizes their work.
